I am a big advocate for early dispute resolution. Litigation eats up time, mental energy, and in most cases, a significant amount of money. As a litigator, I have always encouraged early dispute resolution, through mediation, whenever there has been sufficient information to conduct meaningful discussions. In the vast majority of cases, mediation has been successful.
Currently, it takes anywhere from between 1 to 5 years to reach a jury trial in Harris County, if you are lucky. The only way to quickly resolve most cases is through alternative dispute resolution, in particular mediation.
While I am a big proponent of mediation, I have also learned, while participating in hundreds of mediations, that mediation is often costly. To make matters worse, mediation fees have been steadily increasing. For many cases, the mediation costs alone can make the case difficult to settle. Nevertheless, the courts almost always order contested matters to mediation.
It is because of my belief in mediation and experience with high fee structures, that I decided to become a mediator. Since undergoing mediation training at the A.A. White Dispute Resolution Center, I have successfully mediated a wide range of cases for both as a paid mediator and as a volunteer at the Harris County Dispute Resolution Center.
As a litigator, litigant, and mediator, I have been involved in the mediation process hundreds of times. It is important to choose a mediator that has actually litigated the type of case you are trying to settle so that the mediator can appropriately evaluate the case and facilitate a settlement.

Mediation Fees
My mediation fee structure is extremely competitive, and I bring not only mediation experience but significant first-chair trial experience to the table. For half-day mediation, my current fee structure is $350.00 per side, and for a full-day mediation, the rate drops to $600.00 per side.
