Have you been charged with a crime?
Like most people, you’re probably anxious about the charges, the costs to defend yourself, and what may happen to you. Our approach to defending you
Our approach to defending you consists first of having a consultation, either in-person, via zoom, or over the phone. The consultation is private and protected by the attorney-client privilege even if you choose to hire a different attorney. We will discuss the charges against you, review the available evidence, and provide you with a preliminary evaluation of what we think the likely outcome will be.
We will be upfront about our fees and will discuss payment plans. If you choose to hire us, we will get to work immediately and begin a more in-depth analysis of the evidence the State allegedly has against you, and your defenses.
Unlike many defense firms, we are selective about the clients and cases we accept. What this means for you is that the attorneys working for you will be familiar with your case and will be able to provide real-time updates. Additionally, your case will be fully worked up to get a dismissal, the best deal possible, or, if need be, a trial.
Why choose Scofield Legal?
Many attorneys will give you the scare tactic sales pitch, where they outline the worst-case scenario you could be facing, followed by a demand for an exorbitant fee to help you avoid that circumstance.
While it’s important to understand the potential full punishment range for the crime you’re charged with, in most cases, you don’t need to fear receiving the full punishment.
In many cases, a competent defense attorney can get the case dismissed. In the cases in which the evidence is convincing and a dismissal is not on the table, a good lawyer can negotiate a very favorable deal for you. Finally, if the situation calls for it, a good lawyer should stand ready to take your case to trial.
We want happy, free clients, who will refer us business, so your case will get the attention it needs and that you deserve.
Criminal Defense Attorney Fees
We offer an affordable, flat-fee structure to defend your criminal charges. Our attorneys will determine the cost necessary to defend your charge(s) after the initial consultation and provide you with the amount to retain our services. Payment plans may be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
We accept most major payment methods including credit cards, cash, or check.
